How can I acquire an ISBN for the DVD I produced?

Individuals may obtain ISBNs for DVDs that are educational/instructional in nature by completing and submitting the required forms that are found at the Bowker Publishing Web page "My Identifiers." Here is the link:

DVDs that are of an entertainment nature will not be eligible for an ISBN. If your DVD is mainly entertainment, you should obtain a UPC code so it can be sold commercially. The agency that handles UPCs is called the GS1 Council. Here's a link to get you started:
